Most to least recent project:
Existential Love Poem
I am currently working on a piece that involves pole dancing with dead animals. I have purchased my pole and it currently resides in
the middle of my bedroom. Now I have to sleep with my futon in an upright position.
Little Dead Phallic Chicken Dance
In this as of yet untitled performance I did a seductive chair dance in high heel boots, fishnet stockings and a corset on the corner of Spadina and Queen
with a dead chicken baby/dick. The footage is in the hands of the "the documentary people."
February 14th Valentines Day Performance
In this as of yet untitled performance I carried a large basket of raw eggs through the Eaton's center in a wedding dress. I continually stopped along the way to cut off a piece of my dress
to wrap an egg to give to a member of the crowd gathering around me. As I handed out my eggs I made of point of looking into the eyes of my recipients including those of
the security guards who kindly escorted me out of the mall before I was able to run out of either dress or eggs.
I am currently working on my documentation for presentation.
Public Ritual
This project was originally planned as a series of 23 public performances done on the 8th and 21st of the month spanning the year between my 29th and 30th birthday.
I aborted the project after 5 performances (2 + 3 = 5) because got the sense of repetitive ritualistic art making that I was after and felt it was important for me
to move onto other projects. The five completed performances include: nailing 8 pork livers to a telephone pole on the corner of Bathurst and College with 21 nails and
smearing them in bovine blood, wrapping myself in a white bed sheet wearing only my bra and underwear and rolling around in the Eaton's center getting the sheet dirty with
cow blood, riding the subway between Dundas West and Bathurst station while carefully painting a red 'x' on my face in lipstick as one would put on make-up, hanging a plucked
dead chicken out of my mouth and smashing 24 eggs in the gutter on the corner of Bay and Bloor and, finally, making a (5 piece) pork intestine rope to tie myself around the
neck to a light post in Kensington Market and falling on an 'x' before me also made of pork intestine. I am currently thinking through how I will display my documentation.
